It is strange that the importation of vehicles from abroad were permitted in 1948 at the height of a protectionist policy of the Argentina Industry and especially in the automotive category . More precisely Porsche vehicles .

Maybe it was a need to encourage auto racing in which vehicles manufactured in Argentina could not be used. But it could also be by mutual cooperation agreements that had Ferdinand Porsche with the government of Gral . Peron .

This is how the company Teram ( specialized workshops repairs cars and engines ) founded by Pedro Daverda and Federico de Boucourt is at that time benefited from the representation in Argentina of German automotive and hence the authorization to import such units.
Taking advantage of this permission brought the Porsche 356 Speedster and later entered the 356 coupes. All these coupes with sports destination.
But what is even more strange is that in the mid-50s began producing under the permission of Porsche of course, a sports car based on the Institec Justicialista Sport – national car –
To this end, 144 bodies that were remaining of what was IAME (Aeronautical and Mechanical Industries of the State) were used. IAME closed its doors in 1955 on account of the coup d’état that year, the call Liberating Revolution.
Units manufactured received the denomination of Porsche Teram Puntero.
Roughly is the union of Porsche 356 (front) with the base of the Peronist Sport (back) being motorized with Porsche engines of 1,488 HP cm3 and 56 HP achieving a top speed of 155 km / h. Optionally you could have chosen an engine of 1600 cm3 102 HP and 170 km / h of top speed.
To manufacture these models had to re locate the engine at the rear of the vehicle (unlike its predecessor, the Justicialist Sport).
Production remained from 1958-1963.
144 units were built. This amount coincides exactly with the number of bodys acquired in the former IAME.
